When there are adverse weather conditions there can be gaps in the market , but the traders would like all of you to know that council parking restrictions may still apply, as we're keen to avoid you suffering unnecessary fines especially given that we believe the signing of these restrictions is not clear enough.

Current Parking Restrictions on the Market Setts:

No Parking is allowed on the Market Setts from

6am - 6.45pm on Mon, Wed, Fri,  or Sat.

Please click on the Parking Link in the main menu for your closest alternatives.

This is a long standing problem for all of us, traders and customers alike.  Sadly the Council's signing of the parking restrictions on market days is inadequate and I'm sure it must come as quite a shock for some of our valued visitors to find their day has taken a financial turn for the worse on returning to their car. It's not in anyone's interest for this to happen so we'd like to take this opportunity to direct you to the most convenient car parking in town by clicking on the Parking link in the main menu.

On Tues and Thurs, ( non market days), only 2 hours parking is allowed between 8am - 6pm

This is my next bit of research so please be patient if the link is currently empty or not comprehensive enough

Featured Stall

Every month we will feature a stall or stalls on Skipton Market. This month it's the turn of Ridgeway Leather, located next to the crossing outside Barclays Bank.

It'll soon be winter and it'll be change around time on the stall from Summer to Winter Stock. At this time Ridgeway expands it's range of Leather/Lambskin Gloves and Sheepskin Slippers/Moccasins and Sheepskin Hats. It also sees the return of old favourites such as Sheepskin baby mitts, Sheepskin steering wheel covers and Lambswool insoles. All this in addition to it's year round selection of Bags, Purses and wallets, Belts, Chamois and Sheepkin/Reindeer Rugs. So why not pay a visit and get yourself a bargain!!!
