Every year Skipton has a Yuletide festival comprising the 1st two Sundays of December. This year the dates are........
Sunday 4th December and Sunday 11th December...
Skipton's famous Yuletide Festival and market is now in its 17th year. This hugely successful event, brought to you by Skipton Town Council and the Skipton Business Improvement District, attracts thousands of people from across the country on the first two Sundays of December.
This year, the event takes place on Sunday 4th and Sunday 11th of December.
Skipton's famous Market will be in full flow on both days – running the full length of the High Street, named as Best Street in the UK in 2009!
Together with the market there will be a full range of entertainment in the Town Centre throughout the day, both in the main High Street Arena and at themed locations across the Town. The whole of Skipton will have a real Christmas feel!
The Yuletide Festival is an ideal opportunity to sample a great atmosphere – and to bag yourself a pre-Christmas bargain at the same time. In fact, you could do ALL your Christmas shopping in one go at the fabulous range of independent shops, market stalls and famous high street brands. Skipton also has two department stores – and a fabulous range of places to eat and drink.
Each day of the Festival rounds off with a procession up the High Street to Holy Trinity Church (starting at 4pm) where a traditional Christmas carol service takes place in the grounds!
This year we can also confirm some new and exciting entertainment to the festival, along with our regulars, so look out once again for Skipton Brass Band, Barnoldswick Brass Band and Accrington Pipe Band.

Featured Stall
Every month we will feature a stall or stalls on Skipton Market. This month it's the turn of Ridgeway Leather, located next to the crossing outside Barclays Bank.
It'll soon be winter and it'll be change around time on the stall from Summer to Winter Stock. At this time Ridgeway expands it's range of Leather/Lambskin Gloves and Sheepskin Slippers/Moccasins and Sheepskin Hats. It also sees the return of old favourites such as Sheepskin baby mitts, Sheepskin steering wheel covers and Lambswool insoles. All this in addition to it's year round selection of Bags, Purses and wallets, Belts, Chamois and Sheepkin/Reindeer Rugs. So why not pay a visit and get yourself a bargain!!!
