The times below are a rough guide to trading. During off peak periods the market may finish as early as 4.30pm We're not like the shops and can't just close the door at the end of a hard day, we have to take the shop home with us and different stalls have to start the long process at varying times. So come early and shop longer!!
Market Days are from 9am - 5pm Monday Wednesday Friday Saturday
This includes Bank Holiday Mondays and Easter Friday During the Christmas period, market days may vary depending on how the days fall within the Christmas week through to New Year. Please click on the link in the main menu to see when these days are.
If the weather is extremely bad (especially wind) traders may find it impossible to put up their stalls. This is not because we don't want to, there are health and safety issues affecting you all. ( Imagine an Iron bar attached to a low flying parachute with a mind of it's own!!) You can always check if the market' s on by ringing Craven District Council Thanks for thinking of visiting us.

Featured Stall
Every month we will feature a stall or stalls on Skipton Market. This month it's the turn of Ridgeway Leather, located next to the crossing outside Barclays Bank.
It'll soon be winter and it'll be change around time on the stall from Summer to Winter Stock. At this time Ridgeway expands it's range of Leather/Lambskin Gloves and Sheepskin Slippers/Moccasins and Sheepskin Hats. It also sees the return of old favourites such as Sheepskin baby mitts, Sheepskin steering wheel covers and Lambswool insoles. All this in addition to it's year round selection of Bags, Purses and wallets, Belts, Chamois and Sheepkin/Reindeer Rugs. So why not pay a visit and get yourself a bargain!!!
